I consider this the “Goldilocks” of files. Coarse enough to do the job quickly without making deep scratches, this is my go-to file. With one flat and one curved surface, it handles most shapes, straight or curved with ease. These files have a special titanium coating and were actually designed for working in Platinum. I tried it anyway and I found that it works amazingly well on brass, copper, silver, and gold because the special coating keeps metal from clogging up the teeth and it just glides over my metal, smoother than any other file I’ve ever used. This file is never put away on my bench, because I use it for around 85% of my filing.
The comfortable handle easily screws on and has a convenient hole for hanging. A handle is recommended, otherwise the pointy tang (end of the file) will dig into the palm of your hand while filing.
